The evening is the part people underestimate

Almost every wedding transport problem happens at the end of the night. Venues in the mountains or by a lake are chosen precisely because they are not in a town — which means there are no taxis, phone signal can be poor, and a hundred guests who have been drinking need to get back to six hotels at one in the morning.

Plan the return before the arrival. A coach doing two or three staggered runs from midnight is straightforward, cheap per head, and removes the single most common source of stress from the end of the day. It also means nobody drives who should not.
