Switzerland, the country we know best.

This is where we are based and where most of our vehicles sleep. Three international airports, four language regions and a set of mountain roads that reward a driver who has done them a hundred times.

Where we collect

Switzerland is small enough that no part of it is genuinely far from an airport, and the right one depends entirely on where you are going. Zurich serves the centre and the east, including Davos, Klosters, St. Moritz, Engelberg, Laax and Arosa. Geneva serves the west and the Valais: Zermatt, Verbier, Crans-Montana, Saas-Fee and the French resorts just over the border. Basel is the quiet third option and often the best value for the Bernese Oberland.

We also collect from Bern and Lugano, from any railway station, and from private terminals for guests arriving by jet.

The routes we run most

Some of these we do several times a week through the season:

Three things worth knowing before you arrive

Several of the best villages do not allow cars. Zermatt, Wengen, Mürren and Saas-Fee all end with a hand-off: a shuttle train, a mountain railway or a village car park with electric taxis. None of that is a problem, but it is much better known in advance than discovered with luggage on a platform. Each of our route pages says exactly where the road stops.

Winter is a different road network. Passes close, and the ones that stay open want winter tyres and chains and a driver who has been over them in the dark. Winter tyres go on our fleet for the whole season rather than the week it first snows, and on the Engadin run we will tell you before departure if the Vereina car train is the better answer that day.

Distances lie. A hundred kilometres on a Swiss map can be an hour of motorway or two and a half hours of switchbacks. The quote you see is built from real drive times on the real road, not from a straight line.

Questions

What people ask us.

Which Swiss airport should I fly into?

Zurich for Davos, Klosters, St. Moritz, Laax, Arosa and Engelberg. Geneva for Zermatt, Verbier, Saas-Fee, Crans-Montana and the French Alps. Basel is worth checking for the Bernese Oberland and is often quieter. Ask us before you book flights if you are unsure, because the wrong airport can add two hours each way.

Do you cover the whole country?

Yes, all 26 cantons, plus cross-border work into France, Italy, Germany and Austria.

Are your vehicles equipped for winter?

Winter tyres are fitted for the whole season as standard and chains are carried on mountain routes. It is included, not an extra to remember.

Can you reach the car-free resorts?

We drive to the point where the road ends and see you onto the connection. Zermatt is Täsch and a 12-minute shuttle train; Wengen and Mürren are Lauterbrunnen and a mountain railway; Saas-Fee is the village car park and an electric taxi.

Do you handle the World Economic Forum in Davos?

Yes, regularly, and we plan that week differently. Road closures and the security perimeter change every year, and vehicle accreditation is arranged weeks ahead rather than on the day.

What size groups can you take?

From one passenger in a V-Class up to 49 in a touring coach, and larger groups across several vehicles on one booking and one invoice.
