Zurich Airport to the city, in about 20 minutes.
A short run — thirteen kilometres — where the value is not the driving but the not-queuing, not-changing and not-carrying at either end.
Is it worth it for such a short trip?
Honestly: sometimes not. The train from Zurich Airport to Zürich Hauptbahnhof takes about 10 minutes, runs constantly, and is excellent. If you are one person with a cabin bag heading somewhere near the Hauptbahnhof, take it — we would rather tell you that than sell you a car you do not need.
The transfer earns its place when the last mile is the problem. From the Hauptbahnhof you still need to reach your actual address, usually by tram or taxi, with your luggage. If you are a family, a group, arriving with cases after a long flight, or staying somewhere the tram does not conveniently serve, being driven to the door is a materially different experience.
Where we go
Everywhere in the city and the surrounding communes — the Bahnhofstrasse hotels, the Old Town, Zürich West, Oerlikon, the lakeside districts and out along the Gold Coast to Küsnacht, Zollikon and Meilen. Also the corporate addresses in Opfikon, Glattbrugg and Wallisellen, which are close to the airport but poorly served by public transport.
Business arrivals
A meaningful share of this route is corporate: an arrival, a meeting, a return flight the same day. In that case a vehicle at disposal is usually better value than three separate bookings — the driver stays with you, luggage stays in the car, and there is no gap between finishing a meeting and finding transport. Ask us to quote it as a half or full day rather than as individual transfers.

Worth knowing
Train or private transfer?
This is the one route where we will regularly point people at the train.
Take the train when…
- You are one or two people with light luggage
- Your destination is near the Hauptbahnhof
- You are comfortable finishing the journey by tram
- It is about 10 minutes and runs constantly — it genuinely is very good
Take a private transfer when…
- You have real luggage, or children, or both
- Your address is not near the Hauptbahnhof — the last mile is the actual cost
- You are three or more, where per-vehicle pricing wins
- You are arriving for business and want the car to stay with you
- You are going to the Gold Coast or the airport-area business parks
Questions
What people ask us.
How long does it take to get from Zurich Airport to the city centre?
About 20 minutes by road in normal traffic, for roughly 13 km. Rush hour can add ten minutes.
Is the train not faster?
To the Hauptbahnhof, yes — about 10 minutes. The transfer wins when your destination is not the Hauptbahnhof, or when carrying luggage across a tram change is the part you would rather avoid.
Do you serve the business parks near the airport?
Yes — Opfikon, Glattbrugg and Wallisellen are all short runs and are awkward on public transport.
Can the car stay with me for the day?
Yes, and for a day of meetings it is usually better value than separate bookings. Ask us to quote a half or full day at disposal.
Is the price per person?
No, per vehicle. For three or more people that usually makes it comparable to individual train tickets, door to door.
